Silicone Heart Mold 198.8 × 168.3 × 35 mm – Made to Order

Silicone Heart Mold 198.8 × 168.3 × 35 mm – Made to Order

Made to order: production time 15–20 working days. The price is for one silicone mold. Shipping is charged separately. Resin and flowers are not included.

A mint-colored silicone heart mold with a perfectly glossy inner surface. It is made for decorative epoxy resin castings with pre-dried flowers, for example to preserve part of a wedding bouquet. Cavity size: 198.8 × 168.3 × 35 mm.

Preserve flowers in a clear resin heart

A wedding bouquet, a delicate hydrangea or a small arrangement of dried flowers can become a keepsake casting. Arrange pre-dried flowers in the mold and pour clear epoxy resin over them. Choose flowers and the size of the arrangement to fit the cavity. We cannot guarantee that a whole bouquet will fit.

We make the mold from platinum-cure silicone in our signature mint color. The inner surface is perfectly glossy. Cavity: 198.8 × 168.3 mm, depth 35 mm. Outer dimensions: 216.8 × 187.7 × 42 mm. Bottom thickness: 7 mm. Wall thickness: 9 mm.

Important: maximum pour height

Without external support, pour a layer no higher than 30 mm. Filling above 30 mm requires a plastic outer shell that supports the mold walls. The shell is not included; its price is on request. A geometric depth of 35 mm does not mean the mold can be filled to the rim without support.

How much resin you need

The empty cavity holds approximately 717 ml at a 30 mm fill height and approximately 836 ml when filled to the full 35 mm (outer shell required). These figures are calculated from the CAD model and are not a guaranteed resin consumption. Flowers and other inclusions take up part of the volume. Milliliters cannot be read directly as grams: to calculate the weight you need the density of your resin. Allow a working reserve and follow the resin manufacturer's instructions. See also our guide How to calculate the volume of epoxy resin for the mold.

Which resin to use

For thick decorative castings, use a casting (deep-pour) epoxy resin and follow the instructions for your specific batch: maximum layer thickness, working temperature, batch mass and curing time. A resin's maximum layer thickness does not allow you to fill this mold above 30 mm without the outer shell.

Working with flowers

  1. Dry the flowers completely before they touch the resin. Fresh or damp flowers are not suitable for this kind of casting.
  2. Check that the arrangement fits the cavity and does not stick out above the planned pour level. If needed, test the flowers with the resin on a small sample first.
  3. Place the clean, dry mold on a level, stable surface. For a fill height above 30 mm, use the external plastic shell.
  4. Prepare the resin following the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines: suitable gloves, ventilation and the recommended protective equipment. Do not work with resin near food.
  5. Pour the resin within the temperature, height and mass limits. We do not promise the absence of bubbles, overheating or color change: the result depends on the material and technique.
  6. Demold the casting after the curing time stated in the resin instructions. Do not damage the mold with sharp tools.

Food contact and temperature

The manufacturer confirms that the silicone used is suitable for food contact and withstands temperatures up to 210 °C. Use separate molds for food and for epoxy resin. Never use a mold for food after it has been in contact with resin. The temperature rating on its own does not confirm suitability for baking or oven use, and we make no such promise.

Custom versions

A deeper version (about 5 cm) can be made individually; the final price is quoted after we agree on the details. It is a separate request, not a purchasable option of this product. A different wall thickness can also be discussed. Send your request via the custom mold order form.

About the images

All images are 3D renders, not photos of the finished mold. Colors and artistic styling do not guarantee the shade of the finished product.

  • Image 1: 3D render of the mold based on the CAD model. Not a photo.
  • Image 2: technical 3D visualization of the STEP model, outer dimensions 216.8 × 187.7 × 42 mm, cavity depth 35 mm. The color is arbitrary.
  • Image 3: artistic 3D render, not a photo. It shows dried hydrangea in clear resin filled to the rim (35 mm); in real work this requires the external plastic shell, which is not shown. Resin and flowers are not included. Faint violet highlights are artistic styling, not a guaranteed resin shade.

  • FAQ

Can I preserve a wedding bouquet?
Yes, you can use the mold for an arrangement of pre-dried flowers that fit the cavity. It will not necessarily hold the whole bouquet.

Do hydrangeas and other flowers need to be dried?
Yes. The flowers must be completely dry before pouring.

Can I fill the mold to the full 35 mm depth?
Only with an external plastic shell that supports the walls. Without support, the recommended maximum pour height is 30 mm.

How much resin will I need?
About 717 ml for the empty cavity at a 30 mm fill height. Dried flowers reduce the volume needed. To convert to grams, you need the density of your specific resin.

Is resin included in the price?
No. The price is for one silicone mold. Resin, flowers and shipping are paid separately; the plastic shell is quoted separately on request.

Can I use one mold for both resin and food?
No. For food you need a separate mold that has never been in contact with resin.

Is there a 5 cm deep version?
It can be made individually; the final price is quoted after we agree on the details. It is not a fixed purchasable option of this product.

When will the mold be ready?
Production takes 15–20 working days. This is the production time, not the delivery time.
